Serving as a Page
Working as a page is an excellent way for students to learn more about the legislative process. To help interested and deserving young men and ladies from District 3 to have the opportunity to serve as pages, Senator Orr will submit names for consideration. Please keep in mind that page slots fill up quickly, and requests should be made as far in advance as possible. Pages must be at least 12 years of age and no older than 18.
Please provide us with the following information:
Name of the individual interested in serving as a Page
Age and school grade
Name of school
Name and telephone of teacher or principal that can provide information about the applicant
Parent’s name, home address and daytime phone number
Applicant’s activities and honors
Brief description (50 words or less) of why applicant is interested in serving as a Page in the Alabama Senate
Send the information via US Mail to:

Arranging a Classroom Visit
It is imperative that our children understand and appreciate how our government works. To that end, Senator Orr would be glad to make a personal visit to classrooms in Morgan, Madison and Limestone Counties to discuss and explain the state legislative process, why he decided to get involved and answer any question the students may have.
To arrange for Senator Orr to be a guest speaker in your school, please provide us with the following information:
School name
Classroom grade level
Number of students in the class
Preferred date(s) and time(s)
Brief background of how much the students (if any) have been taught about the Alabama legislature prior to the visit
Any other information that Senator Orr will need to know in preparing for his visit
Teacher’s name and phone number
